Donation to KCHC

Kingston Community Health Centres (KCHC) provide access to health care services throughout the greater Kingston area for some of the people who need it the most. They have branches providing counselling, outreach, food, help with heating, activities for seniors and youth at risk, community outreach for seniors and under-served Kingston and area residents since their inception as the North Kingston Community Centre in 1988.

When they asked for help because they outgrew their premises on Elliot avenue, the community rose to the occasion. As a community minded organization, KCCU realized how many people in Kingston would benefit from their presence and Our CEO, Deputy CEO and Board showed their community leadership by championing their cause. KCCU's large donation helped to provide needed funds that would help them to secure government financing and grants to expand their service to meet increasing community needs with a new building at 263 Weller Avenue where they will relocate in late spring 2014.

Some of the programs they operate throughout the city include Immigrant Services Kingston, Pathways to education, Better Beginnings, Street Health, OHRDP (Harm reduction Program), Thrive, The Good food box, practical assistance, dentistry and physician accessibility for all of Kingston, Frontenac , Lennox and Addington residents (as far north as Sharbot Lake.)

To KCHC, KCCU offers its congratulations and a huge Thank you for all that you do for all of the members of the community! KCHC makes Kingston a more fair and equitable city, caring for the vulnerable and helping those in need from youth to seniors. For more information visit Kingston Community Health Centres website
